Luhr Bros., Inc. was founded in 1938 by brothers Alois and Eugene Luhr. Eugene borrowed money for a Cat D8 tractor, and Alois began working on their first project, digging the basement for the Valmeyer, Illinois high school. Since then, Luhr Bros., Inc., has become one of the largest and most well-respected contractors in the country, working extensively with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as either primary contractors or as subcontractors.

In addition to our Headquarters in Columbia, Illinois, we have a Marine Division Office in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and an Office and Rock Yard in Alexandria, Louisiana.

We operate stone material yards in Lafayette, Lake Charles, New Orleans, and Port Allen, Louisiana under the name Construction Aggregate Supply.

Tower Rock Stone Co., a quarry located in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri at Upper Mississippi River Mile 127, is an affiliated company.
